Alzheimer’s Australia (QLD) is holding the first ever Gold Coast Memory Walk & Jog this Sunday June 19th.
The event’s aim is to generate awareness about dementia and help raise funds to find a cure. Not only can you help towards reaching the target amount of $100,000, you can also enjoy some outdoor activity in beautiful surroundings.
It takes place at Broadwater Parklands between 8am and 10.30am, with prizes and presentations at 11:30am. You can choose between doing a 2.5km walk or a 5km walk or jog. All ages are welcome to take part. Or just come along to cheer on participants and help support the cause.
There will also be music, face-painting, free massages, a raffle and more. Entry fees are as follows:
Under 5 – free
5 to 18 years – $15
Adults – $30
Seniors – $15
Families (2 adults & up to 4 kids) – $65
Teams (up to 5 adults) – $100
