Being situated on Surf Parade means Aruba Beach Resort is located in the heart of Broadbeach, with some of the best dining in town virtually outside the door. Being one of the main precincts means plenty of shops and entertainment is close-by too, and the beach is just a two minute walk away.
It must be said that the location does mean that you may experience some noise from the nightlife and general bustle: at least it is away from the highway. All the local attractions like Jupiters Casino, the Convention Centre, Pacific Fair shopping centre can be easily reached and if you are planning to visit any of the Gold Coast theme parks, a bus stops right out front.
Aruba is probably best suited to families: it lacks the more sophisticated and contemporary design of other resorts, but being smaller means it has a more friendly, personal atmosphere. The apartments have one, two or three bedrooms, are clean, comfortable and while they may not win any awards for interior design they are very cosy. There is a good kitchen, a dining area, television and a balcony.
The resort itself has only three levels, but be aware that there is no lift. The management are happy to help guests with baggage, but you will still have to use the stairs each time you come and go. There is a swimming pool – heated during the winter – a spa, barbeque facilities and complementary secure undercover parking for guests. The resident managers take pride in making their guests feel welcome, and are happy to answer any questions about your Gold Coast visit.
