One of the Gold Coast’s newer nightclubs, Blush is located right in the heart of the clubbing action: Orchid Avenue in Surfers Paradise.
It has replaced what was Twenty1 Nightclub, and takes up around a thousand square metres of space, divided into three main areas: V Lounge, Blush and the latest addition Empire.
Blush is the main room. It’s been refitted very nicely with an emphasis on pink, and while it isn’t quite as flashy as some of the other clubs in town, it does look good. The sound system is certainly decent enough, and the lighting is very effective.
V Lounge can accommodate up to 60 people in VIP booths that seat between 10 and 20 guests, and it has it’s own bar. The V Lounge can be booked for the exclusive use of your own group through the “Rockstar Package”.
Empire is somewhat bigger and has a capacity of up to 150 guests. There are more booths here, plus two more private VIP Rooms. Empire also has it’s own bar, and there’s a stage too – suitable for live performances.
The music tends towards commercial dance/top 40 and R&B, a fairly common music policy for the area. As you may expect from this, the crowd is quite young. It’s not the kind of venue that will generally attract big name DJs.
Blush is currently part of the notorious Surfers Paradise Club Crawl: while the crawl is probably fun for those on it, if you are enjoying yourself in the club when it arrives it may spoil yours.
If you are just looking for a night out dancing to commercial tracks in pleasant surroundings, this is certainly another of your options.
