Broadbeach

The Gold Coast's Broadbeach offers high quality accommodation, entertainment and dining

While it may be true that for many people, Surfers Paradise is the first place they think of staying when first planning their Gold Coast trip, it’s certainly not the only option.

Broadbeach, just to the south of Surfers Paradise, offers an equally high standard of accommodation and many would argue it has the better beach, and it does undoubtedly offer superior dining options.

While the range of entertainment available in Broadbeach is superb, it isn’t as much of a nightclub mecca as Surfers Paradise: this means a slightly different visitor demographic and less of the noise and  – let’s be honest – anti-social behavior that can be found there.

If  great dining and high quality accommodation are a priority to you, another option you might also like to consider is Main Beach.

Accommodation

Just like Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach caters for just about every pocket: five star luxury, contemporary self-contained apartments as well as lower budget accommodation. Some of the more well known options include Jupiters, Oceana on Broadbeach, The Wave, Air, Ultra and ARIA.

Peppers Broadbeach is one of the best accommodation options on the Gold Coast

One of the swish apartments at Peppers

Peppers: quickly earning a reputation as one of the best on the Gold Coast
Air On Broadbeach: not the cheapest option but definitely worth the money.
Meriton Serviced Apartments: very comfortable, great location and very good value.
Mantra Broadbeach on the Park: conveniently located, spacious rooms at a good price.
Santa Anne By the Sea: truly one of the Gold Coast’s real bargains
The Ritz Resort: clean, comfortable, relatively quiet with very reasonable rates.
Aruba Beach Resort: nice, affordable accommodation right in the heart of town.
Ocean Royale Apartments: good value apartments with great views and a peaceful location.

Entertainment

While Broadbeach may avoid the excess of it’s northern neighbour, there is still no shortage of quality entertainment and yes, even nightlife. With some of the Gold Coast’s best dining, the casino, plenty of bars, live music and nightclubs, your stay in Broadbeach can be as action-packed as you choose.
