Part of the world-famous dining franchise, the Hard Rock Cafe is one of the busiest restaurant/bars in Surfers Paradise.
If you’ve ever been to any of the Hard Rock Cafes, you know what to expect: good food, cold drinks, a lively atmosphere and plenty of memorabilia.
The prices are a little over the average for the Gold Coast, but that said, the servings are pretty large which kind of makes up for it.
The menu is quite extensive, full of dishes that will be popular with all ages. Of course, all the favourites like steak, BBQ ribs, chicken and fish & chips are served. There is a good selection of burgers too.
Like we said, the servings are large but if you’re not too hungry you can choose something from the sandwich menu or share some of the entrées. There are a few options for vegetarians too, and there is also a menu just for the kids.
Of course, a big part of the attraction of the Hard Rock Cafe is the music related memorabilia that is on display.
While this is subject to change from time to time, we’ll give you an idea of a few of the things on show at the start of 2014.
- The guitar played by Paul Stanley of KISS at Carrara Stadium.
- A handwritten letter from Slash, guitarist for Guns N’ Roses.
- A red Mada guitar played and signed by country star Willie Nelson.
- A shirt worn by legendary drummer Keith Moon of The Who.
- Part of the wall from the famous New York City club CBGB
It’s a fun place to eat out, with big meals and an enjoyable atmosphere. We recommend you make a reservation if you plan on visiting in the evening or at weekends, as it can get very busy.
