If you have ever thought about giving sky diving a go but never got around to doing it, this Sunday March 29th there’s a great reason to make it happen. That’s because it’s when the Gold Coast leg of Jump to Cure Diabetes takes place.
That’s right, you can jump out of an airplane at 14 thousand feet this weekend and not only will you experience the incredible thrill of a freefall of around 240 kilometres per hour, you will be raising funds towards finding a cure for type 1 diabetes. Check out this video for a taste of what to expect:
If you decide to take part, you will get a tandem skydiving training session, a scenic flight over the Gold Coast and there will be a viewing area where family and friends can watch you make the jump.
There is a $100 deposit which is non-refundable, and a minimum fundraising goal of $1250 per person (there are lots of fundraising tools and ideas on the website linked to at the bottom of this page). Minimum age for this jump is 14.
To take part you will need to register via the official site, which also has answers for just about any question you may have about the event: Jump to Cure Diabetes.
