Located well for the beach, restaurants & cafes and even for the wildlife sanctuary, Sanctuary Lake Apartments has accommodation that is suitable for families and couples.
It’s a peaceful location, without being isolated: the beach is just a stroll away and Pacific Parade is just a few minutes walk. The only thing that can disrupt the peace is the aircraft going to and from the Gold Coast Airport, which is just a few kilometres away.
This is another low-rise resort, typical for this part of the Gold Coast. There is a selection of two and three bedroom apartments, which range in size between 80m2 to 100m2: very generously sized.
Being self-contained, you get a kitchen, laundry facilities, cable television and a large balcony that looks out onto the gardens or pool area.
They are bright, modern and quite comfortable. As the apartments are individually owned, there is no uniform style between them so decoration, furnishing and style will very according to which you get. If you have specific tastes, speak to the main desk who may be able to help you with which one would best suit your requirements.
The resort’s enclosed central area contains tropical gardens, a large salt-water pool, a heated spa pool (also quite large), a sundeck and two BBQ areas. Wireless internet access can be purchased but reception can be patchy. You can also hire surfboards.
Outside the resort, you are close to parks (which have play areas for kids), the creek and you are situated next to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary: one of the town’s big attractions and well worth a visit.
Comfortable, spacious accommodation set in very pleasant grounds, with the beach and town’s attractions within easy reach, this resort has a lot going for it. It’s pretty good value too. The only concern is aircraft noise due to the nearby airport: for many it’s not a major issue, but if you are seeking total peace and quiet keep it in mind.
Sanctuary Lake Apartments is located at 40 Teemangum Street in Currumbin. Telephone (07) 5534 3344.
