Surfers Paradise beachfront night markets are open along The Esplanade on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday nights from about 4pm until around 9pm.
A highly enjoyable place to spend an hour or so, checking out the hundred-plus stalls which offer an interesting selection of mainly locally-produced, often hand-made items.
The atmosphere is wonderful, and can be considered very family friendly.
If you are after something a bit more personal as a gift – or for yourself – the Night Markets are the place to visit. But even if you don’t buy anything, you are sure to enjoy your time here.
Wares range from fashion and jewellery to beauty products, childrens wear, bags & accessories, arts & crafts (including some wonderful photography to remember your visit by), and there is some yummy food to be had too. Musicians and other entertainers add to the atmosphere, and just about all ages will enjoy a visit.
A great option for finding some distinctive Surfers Paradise souvenirs that are a step up from most of the mass-produced stuff you’ll find in the tourist shops. Tee shirts, picture frames, ceramics and more – you’ll find something to suit most tastes and most budgets.
