Like many of the other properties we have featured, the Ritz Resort also boasts a central location, meaning all the attractions of Broadbeach are reasonably close-by – many just a short walk away. Unlike some of the other places, it is situated a bit away from the Gold Coast Highway and towards the beach, which means less traffic noise: a big plus in our book.
Also, the Ritz Resort is a bit smaller in scale: with just seven levels and four apartments per level, it has a quieter, more “at home” feel about it. Price-wise it falls into the mid-range bracket, and while it is modern it doesn’t go for the ultra-contemporary designer vibe.
All of the apartments are self contained, and you can choose from one or two bedrooms. The two bedroom apartments come with either two queen sized beds, or a queen and two singles. All apartments have a kitchen, and in this case it doesn’t just mean a hotplate, microwave and a fridge: these are very well equipped and even have a dishwasher. There is also cable television, and the balconies are impressively large.
The resort facilities add to the charm of the place: the rooftop area is particularly enjoyable. There is a heated outdoor pool and spa, barbeque areas, lovely landscaped gardens, a sauna and a basic gym. Adding to the personal touch, management and staff do their best to make you feel welcome and are happy to advise you on things to see and do during your visit.
If you prefer a home-away-from-home atmosphere to sleek designer minimalism, this may be just what you’re looking for.
