Here’s something we really want to support: coming up in a couple of weeks is the Think Well Be Well Festival. Put together by the Australian Psychological Society, it’s going to be a fun day out for all ages. Be sure to add this one to your calendar!
There’s a great line-up of live music, with Electrik Lemonade, Jahkaya, Mayan Fox, The Genes and Jackson James Smith with Scott Dalton. Impressed? We are – it’s going to be quite an afternoon. And it’s even more impressive when you consider this event is totally free.
It’s also about promoting positive mental health lifestyles on the Gold Coast. Organizations including Lifeline, Headspace and Red Cross will be present so you can have a casual chat about anything that you have on your mind. Stress and other mental health issues like depression are major issues for many in Australia, and this is a great opportunity to learn about how to deal with them in an effective way.
There will be information booths where you can find out about psychology and mental health in a friendly and informal environment. If you have any questions, experts in the field will be happy to answer them.
The Think Well Be Well Festival takes place between 10am and 4pm on Saturday November 15th at Broadwater Parklands, Marine Parade, Southport. Admission to this event is free. You can get more information here.
