Looking for somewhere the kids (or the young at heart) will love, that will keep them occupied for a couple of hours and won’t break the bank? Then a visit to Timezone Surfers Paradise may be just what you need! And it doesn’t matter how the weather is as everything is indoors.
With around five thousand square metres full of all types of games and amusements, the Gold Coast Timezone is Australia’s biggest Indoor Family Entertainment Centre.
The recommended way to get the most from your visit – and get the best value – is to purchase one of the various package deals that are on offer. They also mean you can swipe a card to play and don’t have to worry about having the right loose change.
Depending on which one you pick, you will get two or three hours where you can play unlimited “standard” games, 15 or 20 “ticket” games, a few “prize” games plus a go on the dodgems, play Laser Skirmish, mini golf and more.
- Standard Games
These include games like Smash Air Hockey, plus an assortment of arcade-style video games like Guitar Hero, Time Crisis, Daytona DX and so on. With the packages, these are unlimited and free.
- Ticket Games
These include games of skill like the Shooting Hoops basketball game & the Speed of Light, challenges like Deal or No Deal plus the ever-popular stuff like the Shooting Gallery.
- Prize Games
As you might expect, these are where you play in various ways in order try to win a prize of some sort: the kids will love going home with something to show for their time.
- The Major Attractions
Aside from all that, there are the main attractions which include the dodgem ride, Laser Skirmish, Dark Escape 4D, ten pin bowling, the mini golf course and a Typhoon Simulator!
With the combo packages (currently) priced at $25 and $35, this really is very good value for several hours of full-on entertainment. There is also a family ticket for up to four, and special offers can often be found online and around town.
Timezone Surfers Paradise is open from 9am until midnight, seven days a week.
