Dead Books have just released their self-titled EP and are promoting it with their last show of the year at The Miami Shark Bar tonight. Also playing are The Ether and Sassin Fras. Doors open at 8pm and entry is $10. You can download the Dead Books EP here – get in fast as it’s free before December 1st.

The Von Villains are also promoting a self-titled EP with the Super Fun Times Party at Elsewhere Bar. Yorke and Waax play in support. Entry is just $10.

Roots-reggae act Fyah Walk are headlining at Soundlounge, with support from “nu-wave brass band” Bullhorn and PureVelour. You can purchase tickets in advance for $15 plus booking fee from the Soundlounge website. Doors open at 7.30pm for a 8.30pm start – if not sold out, entry will be $18 at the door.

Lyon Apprentice are on at The Loft Chevron Island as part of their “I Will Find You” single launch. Calan Mai and Ella Fence are also on the bill. Doors open at 8pm and it’s $10 to get in.

Saturday November 30th

Paul Greene & The Other Colours have a show at The Loft tonight – check out the single Beautiful Delusion on iTunes. Also playing are Ashleigh Mannix and David Baker. Tickets in advance from Oztix at $12 plus booking fee, or $15 on the night if not sold out. Doors at 8pm.

Whitley play the Coolangatta Hotel with Seagull in support. You can get tickets in advance from the venue and Oztix for $17 plus booking fee – entry will be more at the door. Opens 8pm.

There’s another BUD Music Night at Burleigh Underground Drummers with Andrew Baxter, Kniki & Mike Beale plus Tom Ray Jones. Doors open at 7.30 and you can BYO food and drinks. Don’t know about an entry fee for this one, it shouldn’t be much.
