Yeah Girl at Dust Temple

Yeah Girl female skateboarding exhibition opens at the Gold Coast's Dust Temple in Currumbin on March 11th 2016

There’s a cool new photographic exhibition opening this Friday March 11th at Dust Temple in Currumbin as part of the Bleach* Festival.

Entitled Yeah Girl, it takes a look at the world of women’s skateboarding – a sport that is both under-exposed and growing in popularity at a rapid rate.

Female photographers from around the world have documented this exciting and highly visual sport, including Mimi Knoop & Nam-Chi Van from the United States, Sweden’s Lisa Kindberg and Australia’s Sarah Huston, who is also the event’s creator and curator.

Yeah Girl has also organised an all girls skate lesson run which takes place at Tugun Skatepark on Sunday March 6th between 9am and 11am.

The Yeah Girl photo exhibition runs at Dust Temple, 54 Currumbin Creek Rd, Currumbin Waters between March 11th and March 28th.
