Chinese language state-run media says the nation’s area company has landed its first spacecraft on Mars.
The official Xinhua Information Company mentioned on Saturday that the lander, named, had touched down, citing the China Nationwide House Administration.
The Tianwen-1 spacecraft landed on a website on the Southern Utopia Plain, “leaving a Chinese language footprint on Mars for the primary time,” Xinhua mentioned.
The lander was carrying a rover which was deployed on the pink planet, making China the second nation to deploy one, behind the US.
The six-wheel robotic referred to as Zhurong marks a significant leap in China’s area program, which has managed to launch an orbiter, lander and rover in a single mission.
